Creating calm, confident, compassionate teens!

Moving Tale enlightens teens.  Yoga can benefit teens in immeasurable ways.  In this day and age technology has aided us greatly and at the same time has hindered us by making it easy to be much less physically active and geared us toward less genuine personal and community interaction.   Because of this teens need yoga today more than ever.

Yoga improves fitness and physical health.  The poses increase coordination, balance, strength and flexibility.  It reduces stress and anxiety.  The teenage years can be a stressful period with both academic and personal challenges.  Through breathwork and awareness, yoga assists in alleviating these challenges.  It enhances self-esteem and body image.  Yoga is rooted in the principle of non-judgment, it is a practice that allows you to be more accepting of your body.

Yoga taught with mindfulness has significant advantages over traditional physical activity. It develops self-discipline and self-regulation, reducing impulsivity and boosts the ability to stay focused.  Studies have found that yoga practiced once or twice weekly was a balm to teens with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, improving their behavior as well as school performance.

As you can see from all of the above, today's teens need yoga!
